Train the Trainer Model
We recognize that local community leaders have frequent contact with married couples in the community, yet these leaders are often pressed for time and resources to help strengthen these couple relationships. For this reason, this training is designed for community leaders to learn about the 10 Great Dates program, an easy-to-implement, low-cost program that anyone can facilitate. At this training, Dave and Claudia Arp, marriage education leaders and founders of the 10 Great Dates program will explain how the 10 Great Dates program started and the research-based benefits of couples attending this program, such as better communication and increased marital satisfaction. In addition, they will provide advertising, start-up tips, and resources that will make using this program simple and easy.
It is our hope that once you learn about 10 Great Dates, you will help strengthen marriages and families in Mississippi by implementing this program in your congregation and/or community.

10 Great Dates for Black Couples
While 10 Great Dates has been used successfully in African American communities, generally Black churches want and need their own curriculum, so we are thrilled that Drs. Rozario and Angela Slack joined with us to present the video date launches for 10 Great Dates for Black Couples. While the content is the same, African American couples will appreciate hearing and seeing it from Rozario and Angela and through their filter. Their own stories are great and they really relate well to any audience and especially to African American couples. 10 Great Dates for Black Couples helps to meet the needs of African American churches that are looking for easy-to-lead, inexpensive, skill-based curriculum. The participant’s book, 10 Great Dates to Energize Your Marriage, is the same for both editions of 10 Great Dates.
