Under the new EPA RRP rule, beginning in April 2010, contractors, maintenance workers, and others performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, apartments, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified.

Mississippi ranks 50th out of 50 regarding overall child wellbeing, much of which can be attributed to the breakdown of the traditional two-parent family. This one-day training is designed to equip and empower community leaders with an exciting, affordable program aimed to help strengthen marriages and families (and ultimately, our communities) in Mississippi.

The Workshop is open and relevant to tomato farmers and processors, crop protection specialists, tomato seed industry personnel, Extension educators, and anyone involved in the business of growing tomatoes. Vendors, suppliers, and academic researchers are also invited and encouraged to attend.
